Malicious Software

AutomaticBacklinks Hacked

( 1 Vote )

Yesterday, near midnight (PDT) we were notified by Google about some pages in Roalcana's website could cause users to be infected with malicious software.

Digging in the origin of such bad behaviour, we noticed that the mailiciuos code were included from the AutomaticBaclinks module that we were using for long time in our website.

We Immediately unpublished the module and cleared the module's cache, we verified that the malicious code were removed from our website and we notified AutomaticBaclinks about the issue.

In order to remove the waring triggered by Google and by Firefox we asked Google to verify our website again and at this time the warning generated by Firefox and by Google in their search results have been removed.

Regarding the Automatic Backlinks module, we will wait to re-publish it until they confirm that they have found the vulnerability in their system and fixed it.

We appology all our current members and visitor for any inconvenience this situation has caused you.
