Members Only [Joomla Core Edition] is a Joomla plug-in that hides your full-website's content from anonymous visitors. You are in TOTAL CONTROL of the kind of community you are building.
Features
- Registration NOT allowed. Only you control the user's list of your website. Every visitor must have a pre-existent username.
- Registration allowed without invitation. This is similar to usual registration process but the visitors can't see your site's content unless they register and log in.
- Registration allowed by invitation. Any visitor that have the right Invitation code may register.
- Invitation control. You control too if the visitor can apply for the invitation, if the invitations are automatically sent or you must send them manually.
Application Ideas
- Family website: Set the "Register Using" parameter to "None - Registration not allowed" and everybody without a valid username will be blocked from your content and users can be created only by you in the backend.
- Mutual friends website: Set the "Register Using" parameter to other than "None - Registration not allowed", "Only by Invitation" to "Yes" and "Allow Invitation Request" to "No". Notify your friends the invitation code and allow them to invite their friends to register in your website.
- VIP Community: Set the "Register Using" parameter to other than "None - Registration not allowed", "Only by Invitation" to "Yes", "Allow Invitation Request" to "Yes" and "Auto Send Invitation" to "No". Then you may select who to invite and get rid of the wise guys using fake email address.
- Marketing Tool: Set the "Register Using" parameter to other than "None - Registration not allowed", "Only by Invitation" to "Yes", "Allow Invitation Request" to "Yes" and "Auto Send Invitation" to "Yes". No matter if either they register, you have their email addresses to promote your products.
- Mailing Lists Software: Set the "Register Using" parameter to other than "None - Registration not allowed", "Only by Invitation" to "Yes", "Allow Invitation Request" to "Yes" and "Auto Send Invitation" to "No". Then set your mailing list software to receive the notification emails and process them. Maybe requesting a double opt-in, sending the invitation code and then follow up messages.
